PEZA UNION, always a pioneer to the adoption of new methods and systems, monitors the changes and developments closely that affect the modern and ever changing business reality. Within the framework of free competition, Peza Union rushed in 1998 to install Quality Systems. Today it maintains a System Quality ISO 9001:2000 and Food Safety Systems IFS (International Food Standard) and ISO 22000:2005. The above systems are certified by TUV Hellas. The laboratory of quality control of olive oil of PEZA UNION is certified by E.S.Y.D. with ISO 17025.
The Company:
The Union of Agricultural Cooperatives of Peza is located in the Prefecture of Heraklion Crete. Its basic products are wine and olive oil. PEZA UNION constitutes a model organization at the agro-cooperative area since 1933.
The bottling of olive oil reaches the 2.000 tones. PEZA UNION owns 10.000sq.m. of storage area, for the distribution of its products in 3 centers of handling final products, which are strategically placed around the state, and also a fleet of tracks which consists of 28 vehicles. The General Assembly consists of 45 representative-farmers with a four year service. The Board of Directors consists of 5 farmers of the area with many years of experience at the agro-cooperative sector.
