1. Can we expect better shipping rates?

The shipping price is affected by two factors.

The first factor is our policy of not using Public Post Offices, as the products are not handled with care, and usually end up to you, either broken, or seriously affected. Moreover on many Public Post offices, orders cannot be tracked, thus, you don't know where your items are.

The second factor is called 'Fuel Surcharge' and it is beyond our powers to do anything, although we try to absorb it as much as possible, on our prices.

Fuel surcharge is a extra fee, that all shipping companies charge (included in our shipping rates), that is related to the price of the Brent Oil chart.

Nonetheless, we are always negotiating and doing everything on our hands to get the best prices possible, for everyone... wherever you are! :-)Back

At Olive Shop, we provide three shipping options, with the largest shipping carriers:

Unless, you are leaving in Antarctica, which is a bit difficult to reach, our shipping carriers will deliver your products, at your door, wherever you are.Back
4. How can I calculate my shipping cost?
Shipping costs is related to two main factors. Weight and distance.
Simply add your product to the shopping cart, and on the Checkout phase, a calculation tool box, will provide all the available shipping costs, relating to your order.Back
5. What are the Olive Points?
Olive Points is a free program that rewards you for shopping.
Opening an account at OliveShop, automatically makes you a member, and you can earn points for buying the things you want and need. Then you can redeem those points at the checkout . The more you shop, the faster your points and special benefits pile up.

7. Why is TNT Express cheaper than TNT Economy?
That is true, when you have a light-weighted shopping cart

TNT Express is cheaper than TNT Economy, when your cart weights less than 5 kilograms (kgs). The reason for this is simple. TNT Economy is scaled up every 5kgs, and not every 1kg, like the other shipping methods.

Which simply means, that if your order weights 5 kgs or more, the TNT Economy will be the cheapest solution.

Try adding 10 kgs on your shopping cart, and you will notice the huge saving difference! :-)Back
8. How do I change my password?
Simply, visit your Account Information and you can change your password from there.

100%! At least, on our side! :-)

11. Can I change my address?
Of course, you can!

You can change both your billing and shipping address. You can even store, as many addresses, as you like, in case you decide, to send something to multiple addresses.

12. My item has arrived damaged/broken. Can I return it?
We double-check every shipment before it leaves, our premises. Nonetheless, if you received a damaged or broken item, please contact us, and we will arrange to either to replace it, or refund you.Back

15. What is the Extra Virgin Olive Oil?
According to the International Olive Council, the extra virgin olive oil can be defined as:

The virgin olive oil which has a free acidity, expressed as oleic acid, of not more than 0.8 grams per 100 grams, and the other characteristics of which correspond to those fixed for this category in this standard.

Keep in mind, that over 0,8 grams of Acidity, the Olive oil is only Virgin, and not Extra Virgin Olive Oil.

Tip: At Olive Shop, we sell only Extra Virgin Olive Oils, with acidities from 0,7 to as low as 0,2 grams! Back
16. What is the Virgin Olive Oil?
According to the International Olive Council, the virgin olive oil can be defined as:

The olive oil which has a free acidity, expressed as oleic acid, over 0,8 grams and not more than 2 grams per 100 grams, and the other characteristics of which correspond to those fixed for this category in this standard.

Keep in mind, that olive oils with acidity less than 0,8 grams are called Extra Virgin Olive Oils, and are much superior to the Virgin Olive Oils.

17. What is the Green Olive Oil?
The Green Olive oil, or Early Harvest Olive oil (as many people call it), is the olive oil produced on the first harvests of the olive groves.

It has a taste, that is usually more bitter than the Extra Virgin Olive, a greenish color, and it is consider to be the most nutritional of olive oils.

Most of the times, this happens because the bottle or the other product you have chosen, does not fit properly on a wooden box.

Once the tracking code has been send to you, please allow for some time, to reach the shipping company premises, before contacting us.

If some hours pass, and you don't see, any updates or your order, then please contact our Customer Support, by opening a Support Ticket, at Help Desk, on your Account, stating your order number.Back
27. I was away and didn't receive my order. What can I do?

Don't worry. The shipping company will contact you to arrange a delivery, probably, the next day.

In case, you missed all the notifications, please call the shipping company, stating your tracking code, and they will assist you, on getting your order.Back
28. What is fuel surcharge?

Changes in fuel prices have resulted in increased overall costs for the transport industry, necessitating the introduction of a variable fuel surcharge which may rise, fall or be removed to align with movements in fuel prices.

We try to absorb as much as possible of this fluctuation, as our operational cost, in order to keep the changes, as small as possible.Back
29. I was given a personalize gift. Can I return it back?

We do apologize, but we cannot accept returns on personalized or on ‘Sale’ items.

30. Do you store any sensitive private data?

No. All credit cards processing take place, at either Paypal or Moneybookers, that are our Financial Processing Partners.

So, there is no reason to worry of risking your sensitive private information.Back
31. How do I find the products I am looking for?

There are a number of ways to find the product you are looking for.

- You can use the search box in the top right hand corner of the page. In case, you need an advanced search tool, scroll at the bottom of the page, to the footer, where you will find the Advanced Search Button
- You can select a top navigation item ie Olive Oil and then a category ie Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Moreover, there are further filters to narrow down your search, when you are in the Categories section. You can filter with taste, price, bottle size, etc. You can even select, if you want to browse our catalog in a list or a grid.Back
32. How do I shop online?
Once you have found the product you want to buy, select the relevant size or the gift wrapping you want (if they are applicable) and then add the item to your shopping cart.

Keep in mind, that we have numerous offers, so most of the times, the more items, you add in your cart, the more discounts you receive.

A drop down from the top right hand side of the screen will show that your product has been added to your shopping cart. From here you will be given the option to checkout, or continue shopping.Back
33. Can I create an account with OliveShop?

Of course you can create an online account. We do encourage that, since, you will be able to see more discounts and offers, will browsing OliveShop.

The procedure is really simple. Log in as a new customer and complete the relevant details which will enable you to:

- Proceed through checkout faster when making a purchase;
- Check the balance of your Olive Points, and possible bonus products, you can receive;
- check the status of orders;
- view past orders;
- make changes to your account information;
- change your password;
- add alternative addresses (for shipping to multiple family members and friends),

34. Can I shop without creating an account?

Yes, when you have placed the goods into your shopping cart and started the check out process, you simply fill out the order form, we will only collect the minimum amount of details from you to process your order and you will not be required to create an account.

Keep in mind though, that you can simply tick the ‘Create an account for later use’ and have all the advantages that an account at OliveShop offers.Back
35. What is the Social Login?

We have connected our platform with Google, Facebook, Twitter and Yahoo

When you reach the Login page, you can click on either of these four social buttons, where, on the first time, you will be asked to give us access, to your data.

We will receive only your name and your email address, to verify them with your account. Nothing else.

Once the connection is established, you will be able to simply click the button.. and login to your account! As simple as that! Back
36. How will I know that my order is placed?

Once your order has been placed and payment has been accepted, you will see on the 'My orders' tab, on your account, the order number, along with detailed info, of your order.

Plus an order acknowledgement e-mail will be sent to the e-mail address you provided.Back
37. Can I send a gift to multiple addresses?

Not for the moment, but it is very high on our technology updates list, so pretty soon, you will be able to send to over 100 addresses, on a single order!

38. Do I win Olive Points, if I refer a friend?

Of course, you do! And if your referred friend places an order, you get extra Olive Points!

All you have to do is, visit your Account, find the 'My Referrals' tab, and there you will see three different ways, that you can use to refer your friends.

- Your can send them your Referral URL, that they simply have to click, in order to land on Olive Shop.
- You can give them a referral code, that they can use on the Checkout or when signing up.
- Or, the simplest solution, tell your referrals, to simply fill your email address, at the Referral Information box, either at the Sign-up page, or at the Checkout stage.
